IMMERGENCE

Join us for IMMERGENCE, MS+A's season opener at YAW Theater. Featuring four new works by MS+A founder/director Mary Sigward, the program highlights the company's growing repertoire. From an exploration of isolation to a deep dive into the seen and unseen, IMMERGENCE represents a collage of humanity's subconscious experiences.

Ritual Piece No. 2

The second work in a body of three by Lady Zade, Ritual Piece No. 2 investigates the diabolical exaltation of consumption. Using performance as a means of enacting personal, public, and magical change through the abstraction of art, the work features baroque-informed music by Lady Zade with choreography by MS+A founder/director Mary Sigward. Drenched in the gothic tones of alchemical nigredo, viewers will be left to ponder darkness as both a starting and ending point.

A year in the making, Nigel makes its Seattle debut at the historic Chapel Space in the Good Shepherd Center. This new evening-length work follows the life of a lonely seabird living off the coast of New Zealand and his struggle to find friendship amongst the inanimate statues scattered across the island. Composed by Brooklyn-based Charles Rudig, performed by renowned quartet Hypercube, and with choreography by MS+A, this is a work you will not want to miss!
