MS+A is devoted to investigating the future of dance. Founded by Mary Sigward in 2022, MS+A's mission is to fosters intellectual curiosity through thought-provoking dance. MS+A provides a platform for experimentation of interdisciplinary dance works that pushes the boundaries of contemporary dance through integration of technology, movement, and visual arts. MS+A believes movement is a vital part of humanity, and strives to create a supportive environment where artists can explore and experiment freely with new ideas.

MS+A's programming includes producing and performing new multidisciplinary contemporary dance works, teaching contemporary dance master classes to aspiring pre-professional dance students, and developing performance opportunities in publicly accessible spaces to provide enriching experiences for all members of the community.

Movement comes from an innate place deep within the individual.

It comes from a need to communicate, express, or question the world.

In 2023, MS+A was one of four companies awarded a James Ray Residency and Touring Program, supported in part by the Seattle International Dance Festival. During this residency, MS+A was able to develop a new work, strengthen its organizational programming, and develop touring opportunities through the ASCEND Program of JRRTP. As a result, MS+A is excited to tour to Seoul in October 2024 to perform at the Seoul Dance Festival in Tank.
